Spending all your time on social media playing the ‘Like Chase’ game won’t get you any closer to achieving your ultimate business goal. It stinks of desperation. You know it and so does your audience.
As entrepreneurs… and internet marketers we’re often SO focused on our numbers… How many people in our Facebook Group. How many people on our business pages. How many Twitter or Instagram followers we have. And, how many of them actually engage with us… Likes. Comments.
And, when we think our numbers aren’t up there where we want them to be we go in to a state of overwhelm. We get all dramatic and let our minds spin out of control.
FFS! PLEASE. STOP THE FUCKING DRAMA.
If you want to make a difference in your business you need to be focusing on actual money making activities. Like sending emails to your list.
You know, those people who signed up to your stuff because they love what you frickin’ do.
THE LIKE CHASE IS FOR WANNABEPRENEURS, NOT FOR BAD-ASS ENTREPRENEURS
It doesn’t matter if you have 1000k likes, fans or followers or 100k likes. Social media is all about QUALITY. Not QUANTITY. So, why don’t you take a different approach. One that actually works.
Try this novel method. Why don’t you use your time more wisely and start emailing your existing list. Communicating with those people who already know, trust and like you IS being frickin’ social.
Your email list is where the real value lies. That’s where the gold is. With the right kind of message your email list is where the real value lies. It is where the gold is. These guys have voluntarily signed up to your list.
And sure, occasionally someone will unsubscribe from your list. What do you do then?
You don’t focus on the numbers. You do this instead…
You repeat this mantra:
I DO NOT GIVE A SHIT IF PEOPLE UNSUBSCRIBE FROM MY E-MAIL LIST.
You have so many more important things to focus. I know we need to focus on our numbers but watching your email subscribers go up and down isn’t a good use of your time. It’s a waste of it.
And, time wasted is time you’re never gonna get back.
Trust me. If people unsubscribe it is for the better. For you and for them.
Congratulations. Your marketing is clear and targeted.
And, those people who don’t resonate with your message are removing themselves. Saving you the trouble.
A LIST THAT SELF-CLEANSES IS A GOOD LIST TO HAVE
And, the big bonus in this is that if you have a bunch of people on your list who have no idea who you are… Who don’t believe in what you do… Who are not your ideal client… There is no point having them there.
A list that is full of people who don’t belong is worse than having no list at all.
Because you’re wasting your time and energy marketing to people who just don’t matter to your business.
Let them go. They’re not your peeps. You’ll be better off without them.
Now, get out there, use your email list and get talking to your ideal client… Deal?
